Privacy FAQ
Q: Do you upload my PDFs?
A: No. pdf-lib reads/writes PDF bytes in your browser. This site does not send your files to a server.
Q: Why is local processing better for sensitive documents?
A: Your data stays on-device, reducing exposure from transfers, cloud storage, and access-control risks.
Q: Is it truly unlimited?
A: There’s no cloud upload limit, but browser memory/performance still determine what size/complexity can be processed.
Technical Explanation
pdf-lib is a client-side PDF library. It can parse PDFs, copy pages, draw text/graphics, and export a new PDF. Because everything runs in the browser, it can work without uploads.
